Progress

I SOO appreciate and enjoy my personality (let me be cocky for a minute, okay?). Even though I was devastated about the no go for the refinance, I made sure that this happened this last weekend. We wrapped the new addition. Getting ready for cedar tongue and groove siding!

And.....the backyard + up top.

T & G Cedar for 1,000 linear feet (= to 500 square feet) will cost $400 (which is a steal at .40 a linear foot from the Rustic Lumber Company) + $60 for Brandon to deliver to Price. I am meeting him, or my dad, hopefully on Friday morning. If I wait until Saturday to pick up from Price, we will have to wait until Sunday to install. By 1:30 pm in Moab, Utah its hot as hell and we can't even touch the tools without burning the crap out of our fingers. So I hope and pray someone will either meet me in Price Friday morning, or that the rusticlumbercompany.com will have something in stock in Grand Junction, CO for me to pick up Friday morning before I have to go into work at 3:30 p.m.

No loan :( = Savings of $100,000 over the course of the next 30 years :)

Alright, so the appraiser gave us a value of $218,000 if the house was done, but wouldn't give us an "as-is" appraisal because we need to finish the stucco, base boards, soffit, electrical, drywall, and kitchen cabinet doors....which is why we needed the loan in the first place.

This means, we have to keep doing what we are doing as we can do it.

Here we are painting the east wall.

They were GREAT little helpers....seriously kept me motivated - painting like this is my least favorite thing to do on the planet. I would rather take pictures of them painting than to do the task myself.

And, the current condition of the outside of the house.
Unfinished Garage....

 Front Door...

West wall - started to chip the paint off to repaint.

Looking towards the east to the front door.

Another front door shot.

I did cry for two days straight after I found out we were not getting the house refinanced, but I got over myself and bought tar paper to wrap the house this weekend. These are the next steps that need to happen. One step at a time.
1. Wrap the house in a water vapor barrier (2-ply tar paper)
2. Staple 1" foam onto the tar paper
(This can apparently stay like this until spring)
3. Wrap the foam with 17 gauge mesh for the cement to stick
4. Brown coat
5. Color coat
6. Drink a dark beer.

Alright so a couple things that came out of this situation that are good were - Shanon completed the following tasks.
1. Finished the garage metal roof.
2. Finished framing out the windows we installed 3 years ago
3. Finished the WINDOW BOX that we started 2 years ago I might be holding the tool here, but he did it.
ALSO~~~ and this is a big one~ we will have an overall savings of approximately $98,000 dollars over the course of the potential, would be, loan that we just asked for. So I might have to buy a yacht with that money and travel around the world instead. BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

Like I said before, I might be a bitch but I know how to get some shit done. Plus, I love my husband and he knows it. So glad I found a handy man on this planet.

Let's get er' done!! (Maybe by the time our kids are grown???MayBE!!)

Hit and Run 5k - All day long

SO Much fun doing this race with two of my sisters, Alex, and my nephews Kwin and Kazh. I landed on my head acting like a tiger, we all got wet, the speakers told me to keep on eye on Alex over the next couple of years because he is going places... don't I know it!

This is us, getting ready to run three miles and experience obstacle courses galore. The boys are bored standing in line, they have NO idea what they are in for.

Mom even got to come and hang out with the Bailey Sage, Brian, and Cruze.

We didn't take the camera on the run, BIG MISTAKE!! It was hilarious - Getting together with my sisters is a riot, I know we stand out in a crowd. Everyone else is too boring!

Gay and Kwin at the end of the race

 Me and Alex

 Heather and Kazh

Bailey got to do an obstacle that was just her size
Boys aren't wiped out yet - they take advantage of the last kiddie obstacle before we head home.

Beautiful-ness that Bailey made

And check out the coloring that  she was working on while we were running! We must have picked up on her creative energies during the race.

Yee haw!! Bailey take a picture of me at the end (boys are in the background)

How could I even forget to post what I did to the race shirts?? (I had to edit my original post) I cut mine and Heathers shirts in the back, the arms, and the bottom - they turned out Awesome!

A couple of pictures just for the hell of it.

Aligning with who I TRULY AM.

I know this is a little weird for some people, but for me it is duber duber exciting.

My teeth are straightening out, and with them, my life is too. I am clearing out old debt, stabilizing my energetic field both emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. My jaw still has a way to go (as you can see from the bottom teeth lining up with the top teeth).I am excited to see how it pans out.

With my teeth, I am aligning with everything I know that I truly truly am.

Before

During

I might be heading into my 40th year on this planet (honestly I'll be 36 at the end of this month so I am still 4 years out - THANK GOD) but I am still having a whole hell of a lot of fun here. Bring it.

K so things suck sometimes.....and?

True or False.......

True ~ My seventeen year old wants to move out and is in the process of making that dream come true, before graduating high school.
Reaction: ugh

False ~ we will never be able to finish this house.  We are in the process of getting refinanced, which means that I will finally be on the title and on the loan (instead of Shanon's ex-girlfriend), and we will DEFINITELY have the nicest house on the block (and in my personal, candid opinion - the nicest house in this town). No question.

True ~ Alex is pretty funny, and I need to get shit straight before he becomes a teenager, otherwise he will give us a run for our money.....no joke.

True ~ I really do have a spectacular husband. Super happy he doesn't like to go into debt (to my detriment, but also benefit), he can work on vehicles (which saves us helluv money), and he motivates me to be the bitch I always knew I could be....and he takes it because he knows that what I bitch about it spot on.

True ~ I am officially the BEST MOM EVER! Because I teach my kids to be good people, and that they ARE good people, EVEN if sometimes they make mistakes because they are human and that's okay. Plus, shit happens, and then you die.

Love.....,

Me

BRACES!

Really? Its been over a year since I have posted to my beloved blog? So much has happened I can't even begin to write about it.

But I did want to give a status about a huge manifestation come true. BRACES! Anybody who knows me at all, knows that my jaw has been bothering me for quite a while.

Love it! (Notice the lip ring......what??? a kids gotta do what a kids gotta do!)

A day in the life

I went around the house today and took photos of spaces that make our life fun.
